A Perth mother and daughter have made the ultimate achievement with the success of their interior design business.
Located in Highgate, Sherwood Design is a family-owned interior design studio led by Gabrielle Sherwood and her mum Rose.
The mother-daughter duo have recently celebrated huge success after winning a prestigious award earlier this month at the Society of British and International Design Awards (SBID) in London.
Their Mosman Park project, Casablanca, took out the Residential House Over £1M —Australasia category for its remarkable blend of Spanish Colonial heritage and contemporary style.
The property, located on the banks of the Swan River, showcases an innovative interior combining luxury and comfort.
Sherwood Design director Gabrielle said winning the prestigious award was a “significant honour”.
“This prestigious accolade, recognised globally, highlights our dedication to delivering innovative and high-quality design solutions,” she said.
“It enhances our credibility within the industry and among clients, showcasing our ability to meet and exceed international design standards.”
Gabrielle paid credit to her hard-working team for their “deep involvement” in the award-winning project.
“Our team handled everything from selecting hard surfaces to final styling, ensuring a cohesive and thoughtfully crafted space,” she said.
Gabrielle has continued her family’s legacy after taking the reins of Sherwood Design’s sister company Sherwood Furniture, with no plans on stopping.
Along with their interior designs, the Sherwood family have worked in the industry for over 30 years creating countless pieces of bespoke furniture inspired by natural landscapes.
